Sally is a radio documentarian based in New Orleans.
She got her start in journalism at Marfa Public Radio, where she led the station’s first audience curiosity series, taught teens how to make radio, and earned national accolades for her reporting on healthcare, immigration, and rural life. Sally has also worked as an engagement reporter covering the state of Texas for ProPublica and The Texas Tribune. She’s made podcasts about the magic and desperation of small town living, about the Black midwives filling in a crucial maternal healthcare gap in the US, and about the lives of sex workers cashing in on the Permian Basin oil boom.
